The Connecticut Maritime Heritage Corridor

Connecticut’s maritime heritage is well represented in a corridor along the coast from the Connecticut River to the Rhode Island border. Along this corridor one can find national level maritime museums, U.S. Navy and Coast Guard history museums, Native American museums, as well as numerous smaller attractions, the breadth of which is unmatched anywhere else in America. Our goal is to create a much larger awareness of the uniqueness of this concentration of national level maritime resources, and to unite these resources into a framework that will enable the connections to be made by our residents and visitors.
